To curb the drug menace in the city , as per the directions of W/SSP/UT Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh Dalbir Singh. DSP/South a team of officials of Police Station Sector-34, Chandigarh has achieved a major success by arresting one accused Aniket Singh S/o Amit Kumar VPO Diviyapur, PS, Tehsil & Distt Auriaya, U.P. (Age-24 Yrs) from back side Piccadilly Mall, Near BSNL Turn Sector-34, Chandigarh and recovered 51.52 GM's Heroin from his possession.

(SUBHEAD)A case FIR No. 132 dated 18.08.2023 U/S 21 NDPS Act IPC of Police Station Sector-34, Chandigarh was registered on the complaint of SI Baljit Singh. As per the directions of the senior officers he alongwith Police Team was on patrolling duty and when they reached back side Piccadilly Mall, Near BSNL Turn Sector-34, Chandigarh, they laid down Naka there and started the checking of vehicles and the passersby. The team apprehended the above said accused and recovered 51.52 GM's Heroin from his possession.

KNOW THE ACCUSED:  Aniket Singh   (24) S/o Amit Kumar, VPO Diviyapur, PS, Tehsil & Distt Auriaya, U.P., a chemical engineer  from CIPET University Amritsar, is still unemployed. He was involved in the following case he was arrested alongwith his companions in this case at Amritsar and total 150 grm Heroin was recovered from their possesion: and FIR No.136/8.8.2022 U/s 21 NDPS Act. Police Station Majitha Road Amritsar (under trial), was registered. 

 During interrogation accused Vishav S/o Raghubir Resident of H.No 1576 Sector 45 Chandigarh disclosed that he used to buy the contraband from Amritsar and Market Janakpuri Delhi.
