As per direction of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, under the guidance of Sh. Mridul, IPS, W/SP/City and under the supervision of SDPO/Central, a team of Police Station Sector 17, under Insp. Rajiv Kumar SHO-17 Chandigarh has achieved major success by arresting two snatchers.
The accused identified as Vishal S/o Satpal Village Bharat Nagar Firozpur (PB) Age 24 yrs and Lovepreet S/o Tarshem Singh Vill Hasmitwala Teh Zeera Firozpur (PB) Age 22 Yrs on 31.07.2023, while
they were trying to flee after committing snatching.
During investigation, gold chain was recovered. Their police remand were obtained and during interrogation, they also confessed their involvement in two wheeler theft cases which took place under
the jurisdiction of PS-17 and recovered three vehicles i.e. two motor cycle and one Activa.
Later, they were brought on production warrant on 14.08.2023 and one day police remand of both accused was obtained. During police remand, three more vehicles i.e. two motor cycle and one Activa scooter were also recovered on the disclosure of accused and such all six (6) two wheelers are recovered with the arrest of accused Vishal and Lovepreet.

Both the accused have sent to judicial custody and investigation of the cases is going on.
