A 9-day book fair kickstarted at Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Madhya Marg, Near Petrol Pump, Sector 15B, here today. The fair being organized by Kitab Lovers, offers books at affordable prices. The fair showcases more than 10 lakh new and pre-loved books ranging from 20+ genres.

The innovative ‘Load the Box’ concept is the special feature of the fair, wherein customers can make purchase a box and fill it with as many books as the box can hold. The boxes cost Rs 1200 to Rs 3000. There is a Hindi books section of over 500 titles. A separate section for newly launched titles, covering selected writers from all over the country is also there in the exhibition.

(SUBHEAD)Rahul Pandey, co-founder and CEO of Kitab Lovers, said, “We are delighted to host the book fair in Chandigarh, which is our third event here. We serve a wide range of books from mystery, self-help, romance, fiction, and non-fiction. In this digital age, the habit of reading a book has declined drastically. Internet and social media can never replace the wealth of knowledge that a good book can offer. We urge more people, especially parents to attend the fair, browse through the books on display, and fall in love with reading again.”

Vinay Jha, Managar, Kitab Lover said, since its inception in 2019, Kitab Lovers has hosted over 50 book fairs in 20 cities all over India. Through its ‘Load the Box’ campaign, Kitab Lovers is on an ambitious mission: to make reading affordable and accessible for every Indian and spread the love and joy for reading all over the country. Competitions are also being organized at the book fair and the winners will be rewarded with free book boxes and discount vouchers.
