In a major breakthrough, PO & Summon staff of Chandigarh Police under the directions of SSP U.T. Chandigarh, in the supervision of Sh. Vikas Sheokand, Dy. SP DCC and team headed by Sh. Hari Om Sharma, Inspector/Incharge PO & Summon staff is able to arrest a proclaimed offender involved in multiple cases of theft and robbery. The teams of PO & Summon Staff were searching the accused for the last three months. And finally he was captured in the net of police team of PO & Summon Staff after dedication and efforts, on 28.07.2023.
Arrest of Accused/Proclaimed Offender: – With the help of collection of information from different sources (technical & human) and a day/night search. The absconder /proclaimed offender has been arrested with secret information of informer and all the sincere efforts made by HC Ashok Kumar 1179/CP, Sr. C. Hardeep Singh 2506/CP, and C. Anuj Kumar 4665/CP.
The Master Technical & Monitoring Cell of Chandigarh Police provided continuous assistance to locate the accused and helped the police officials of PO & Summon Staff to apprehend the accused.
(SUBHEAD)The state case PO namely Parveen @ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash S/o Sh. Sompal Singh R/o # 108, Janta Colony, Naya Gaon, Distt- Mohali, Punjab has been arrested from Shiv Colony, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana in the following Four cases:
Case FIR No. 385 dated 19.08.2012, U/s 379, 411 IPC, PS 39, Chandigarh.
The case was registered on the complaint of ASI Swaran Singh, who stated that at the secret informer disclosed that 2 boys who used to steal water meters from various places are coming for selling the same in the Kabari Market. On the basis of this information a Naka was laid at dividing road of sector 25-38. After sometime 2 boys came from the side of Sector 25-38 light point carrying polythene bag in their hands.
They were trying to run and were apprehended by the Police and they disclosed their names as Parveen @ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash and Bitu. Both the accused arrested and produced before the Hon’ble court. During the trial accused Parveen, got absent from the court and declared PO by the court of Ms. Pamelpreet Grewal, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 08.04.2015. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
Case FIR No. 71 of 12.3.2011, U/s 392 & 34 of IPC, PS 11, Chandigarh.
The case was registered on the complaint of Manoj Thakur on 11/12.3.2011 he was going to his home in Auto from Sector 17, Chandigarh, in which three boys were already sited. When Auto reached near Dussehra Ground, Dhanas, and auto was stopped and all the persons forcefully snatched his purse containing Rs. 1450/- Identity card, photographs and pass book of PNB bank and fled away from the spot. During investigation, accused were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble court.
During the trial accused Parveen@ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash, got absent from the court and declared PO by the court of Sh. Gaurav Datta, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 14.01.2014. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
Case FIR No.167 dated 20.04.2011, U/s 411 IPC, PS 34, Chandigarh.
The case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Gurmit Singh, in which he has stated that he reside with his family in House No. 1567 Sec-33 D, Chandigarh. On 20.04.2011 they all family members slept at about 11 pm and when they wake up early in the morning they found that three cylinders were missing from the varndah of their house from which one cylinder was of Indane and two cylinders was of Bharat. From three cylinders two cylinders of Indane company. During investigation, accused was arrested and produced before the Hon’ble court. During the trial accused Parveen@ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash, got absent from the court and declared PO by the court of Ms. Suman Patlain, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 31.05.2013. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody
Case FIR No.139 dated 01.08.2009, U/s 379, 411 IPC, PS IA, Chandigarh.
The case was registered on the complaint of Sh. Mohinder Pal, in which he has stated that on dated 27.07.2009 at about 10 PM, he parked his Scooter no. CH01 V 7369 in Parking front of Bhushan Factory, Plot no. 141-142 and went to his native village. When he came back from his village he found that his scooter was missing from the parking. Case was registered on this complaint and accused Popin @ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash S/o Sompal was arrested and produced before the Hon’ble court. During the trial accused Parveen@ Popi badmash @ Popin badmash, got absent from the court and declared PO by the court of Ms. Navjeet Klair, JMIC, Chandigarh vide order dated 03.12.2014. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble Court and sent to judicial custody.
