Keeping in view the presence scenario and Snatching incidents occurred in the Tri-city and to curb the Crime, on the directions of Ms.KanwardeepKaur, IPS, SSP/UT under the supervision of Dr.VikasSheokand, DSP/DCC and Inspector Jasminder Singh, I/C DCC, teams of District Crime Cell succeeded in arresting 5 accused persons under Arms Act AND Vehicle Theft.
THEFT.BRIEF OF CASE FIR NO. 65 DATED 25.07.2023, U/S 25-54-59 ARMS ACT AND 411, 34 IPC, PS-SARANGPUR, CHANDIGARH: On 25.07.2023, SI Sapinder along with police officials of District Crime
Cell, Sec-24, on secret information laid a naka near botanical garden, KhudaLahora, Chandigarh for checking of suspected vehicles and persons. During naka as per secret information three boys without helmet on Grey colour Activa Scooter without number plate, came from Khudalahora side towards naka
point. On seeing the police party at naka, they tried to flee away from the spot, but police party by showing their efficiency apprehended three boys who disclosed their name as 1.) Juvenile 1, age 17 years (driver) 2.)Juvenile 2,age 14 years 3.) Suraj Singh S/o Gopal Singh R/o Near water tank, Nayagaon, Mohali, Pb age 19 years.
During search one country made pistol, one live cartridge and five mobile phoneswere recovered from possession of Suraj Singh, two live cartridges from Juvenile 1 and one mobile and active was recovered from Juvenile 2. In this regard case FIR No. 65 dated 25.07.2023 U/s 25-54-59 Arms Act and 411 34 IPC PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh, was registered against them. During the course of investigation & interrogation of accused, Suraj disclosed that he procured country made pistol/kata and live cartridges from one person resident of Ambala.
They snatched and robbed mobile phones from innocent person from different places of Chandigarh. During further investigation, It is revealed that they stole this activa from khudalahora, Chandigarh. Further it came to light that a case e-FIR No.000601 dated 14.07.2023, u/s 379 IPC, PS-Sarangpur, was lodged by lady Home Guard volunteer of Chandigarh police, posted in women police station, in which she stated that the active was stolen from outside her house, KhudaLahora, Chandigarh on the intervening night 13/14.07.2023.

BRIEF OF CASE FIR NO. 128 DATED 25.07.2023, U/S 25-54-59 ARMS ACT
D 411, 34 IPC, PS-11, CHANDIGARH:-
On 25.07.2023, ASI Rajesh Kumar along with police officials of District
Crime Cell, Sec-24, on secret information laid a naka near Kali Mata Mandir
towards PGI Light point, Chandigarh for checking of suspected vehicles and
persons. During naka as per secret information two boys without helmet on white
colour Activa Scooter No. PB12-W-4211, came from PGI Light Point side
towards naka point. Police officials on naka stopped the activa for checking, but
driver did not produce any documents of active.Onasking driver disclosed his
name as Sanjay @ Satya s/o Suresh Kumar, r/o # 1517, Nada Road, ne
bajajagency, NayaGaon, Mohali, Pb age 21 years and pillion rider Mohit s/o Kala
r/o Garcha Complex, infront of SAI PG, NayaGaon, Mohali, Pb age 22 years.
During search one kamanidar knife and one mobile was recoveredfrom Mohit
and one mobile phone and activa from possession Sanjay @ Satya. In this
regard accused Sanjay @ Satya and Mohit has been arrested and case FIR No.
128 dated 25.07.2023 U/s 25-54-59 Arms Act and 411 34 IPC PS-11,
Chandigarh, was registered against them. During the course of investigation &
interrogation of accused, It is revealed that Sanjay @ Satya and Mohit were stole
this activa from Kurali, Punjab and they snatched and robbed mobile phones
from pedestrian people in various deserted/dark areas inChandigarh and border
areas.
