WRITTEN EXAM FOR RECRUITMENT OF 700 POSTS OF CONSTABLE HELD

The written examination for the recruitment of 700 posts of Constable(Executive) of Chandigarh Police was held today i.e. 23.07.2023 across 109 centresin the city.

In this regard, Chandigarh Police made adequate law and order &securityarrangements with deployment of more than 2500 Police Officials of Chandigarh Police and 2 paramilitary coys (RAF) and PCR vehicles were also tasked for patrolling outside the centres.

The proper frisking, searching and biometric capturingof fingerprint of candidates were ensured. 109 special nakas were laid aroundall thecentres to prevent use of any illegal means during the conduct of examination.

Flying Squads were constituted to conduct surprise checking at centres.

In this examination, nearly 77.7 % (99940) of the applied candidates (129399)appeared in the written examination and 29459 candidates were absent. The entire examination was closely supervised by all the senior rank officers which went offpeacefully without any untoward incident being reported. The record hasbeenpreserved safely in strong room.
