In a major breakthrough Chandigarh police has achieve a major success by arresting one accused Bhag Chand S/o Sh. Karam Chand R/o Vill-Narenuwala, Chinka, Pinjore, Distt. Panchkula, HR Age 55 yrs in Excise act. On 17.7.23 ASI Kadam Singh 2873/CP alongwith police party while performing the patrolling duty in the area of PS-MM.
(SUBHEAD)They nabbed one person Bhag Chand S/o Sh. Karam Chand R/o Vill-Narenuwala, Chinka, Pinjore, Distt. Panchkula, HR Age 55 yrs from near Shivalik Garden main road Fouji Dhaba while he was transporting illegally wine on his Alto Car No. HP93-4168 without any license or permit and recovered total 25 cartons of country made wine (9 cartons Saqueen Santra, comprising 216 half 375 ml each), 11 cartons Saqueen Santra comprising 550 quarters 180 ml each), 2 cartons of Saqueen Santra comprising 24 bottles 750 ml each), 3 cartons 111 Ace Whiskey comprising 36 bottles) Subsequently case FIR No. 75 dt. 17.7.23 u/s 61-1-14 Ex. Act PS-MM, Chd has been registered in this regard.
During interrogation he disclosed that he has purchased the wine from the Chandigarh with the intention to further sold it to Himachal Pradesh on higher prices. The seized illegal wine taken into police possession alongwith Alto Car No. HP93-4168 through seizure memo and deposited in PS-Malkhana. Further investigation of the case is continuing, whereas accused has no past history.
