City team’s pace attack Sandeep Sharma will be representing the North Zone team in the upcoming Deodhar Trophy to be held in Puducherry.
In a meeting of the North Zone Selection Committee at New Delhi on Monday, selectors finalized the team for the tournament scheduled from July 24 to August 3. The team will be led by Nitish Rana of Delhi while former Test cricketer Ajay Ratra will be the coach. Chandigarh’s team captain Manan Vohra and Arsalan Khan have been kept in the standby.
Sandeep Sharma has represented the Indian team in the Under 19 World Cup in the year 2010 and 2012. Apart from Kings XI, he has also played for Hyderabad Sunrisers and Rajasthan Royal
