CII Northern Region organized an enlightening session with Mr Anirudh Tewari, Director General, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA). Mr Tewari has been known for focusing on capacity building, research, and policy formulation in delivering efficient and citizen-centric services.

The interactive event aimed to shed light on the critical role played by industry and civil society in policy formation and fostering good governance. Mr Vivek Gupta, Chairman, CII Chandigarh UT, highlighted the importance of sharing of public opinion on policy formation and how we can make it more evidence-based. Mr Anurag Gupta, Vice Chairman, CII Chandigarh UT, was also present and added many crucial points to the discussion. (SUBHEAD)

During the session, Mr Tewari emphasized the significance of policy advocacy in shaping effective governance structures. He discussed the indispensable tools of good governance, underscoring the need for the public sector to enhance its efficiency and accomplish more with limited resources. 

One of the key focal points of the discussion was the exploration of how the government can leverage technology to streamline processes and improve service delivery. Mr Tewari highlighted the potential of technological advancements in governance and emphasized their role in enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency. 

Furthermore, the session delved into the economic impact of startups and their contribution to employment generation. Mr Tewari emphasized the positive influence of entrepreneurial ventures on job creation, underscoring the need for continued support and encouragement of startups. 

The interactive session provided a platform for participants to engage in meaningful discussions and exchange ideas on the crucial intersection between industry, civil society, and government in policy formation and good governance.
