In another major breakthrough Chandigarh the team of ANTF under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh cracked the whip on the drug paddlers, with the apprehension of drug paddler namely Shanwaz @ Sonu.
On 17.06.2023 Police party headed by SI Baljeet Singh was on patrolling duty in the area of Police Station-11, UT, Chandigarh with regard to prevention and control of Crime. When the team was on naka duty at near KhudaLahora bridge to PGI road near boundary wall of school, sector-12, Chandigarh, on the basis of suspicion, one person was apprehended with the help of police official and 60 Grams Heroin was recovered from him.
(SUBHEAD)He disclosed his name as Shanwaz @ Sonu S/o Saleem R/o H.No. 425 NearCharchVikash Nagar NayaGaon Mohali PB Age 28 Years. Consequently, Case FIR No. 98 Dt. 18.06.2023 U/s 21 NDPS Act, PS-11, UT Chandigarhregistered against him. He was interrogated thoroughly and after produced in the Hon’ble Court two days police custody and search warrant of his house was obtained.
During police remand, as per the disclosure statement of accused, Rs.6700/- cash as drug money has been recovered and beside this 6.65 grams more Heroin was also recovered from his almirah from his house No. 422 Vikashnagar, NayaGaon, Mohali, Punjab.
The accused identified as Shanwaz @ Sonu S/o Saleem, H. No. 425 Near CharchVikash Nagar NayaGaon Mohali , age 28 years, studied upto second class profession Driver.
RECOVERY: 66. 65 GRAM HEROIN, , Rs. 6700/- cash (drug money).
MAIN SUPPLIER: In his interrogation, he disclosed the name of main supplier as Shivam from Ludhiana and also provided his phone number. From that phone number of main supplier Shivam, team of ANTF located his house in Ludhiana and raided, in which it is found that the accused Shivam was already booked by Punjab STF, Mohali in case FIR No. 187 dated 15.6.2023 u/s 21 & 29 NDPS ActPS-STF Mohali as he was in possession of 1.440 KG Heroin.
The main supplier Shivam will be brought on production warrant and arrested under section 29 NDPS Act in this case.
