KP SINGH, WHO SPECIALIZES IN PEN AND INK DRAWINGS , MAKES HIS RECORD 51ST APPEARANCE

More than 250 renowned artists displayed their unique creations in 2D, 3D Mixed Media, Clay, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Photography, Sculpture and Wood at the two-day Talbot Street Art Fair on June 17 and 18 at the historic Herron-Morton neighborhood on the near north-side of Indianapolis between 16th and 20th on Talbot Street. Over 60,000 art lovers visited the Talbot Street Art Fair. There were cash awards for the Best of Show and the Best of Medium in all categories. A total monetary award of $7,500 was distributed.

(MOREPIC2)(MOREPIC3)The Talbot Street Art Fair is rated as one of the top art shows in the United States and is the oldest juried Art Fair in Central Indiana. The inaugural Talbot Street Art Fair was held on Mother's Day weekend, 1956. Fifteen exhibiting artists/craftsmen participated and 1500 persons visited the fair.
In the latest edition of the art fair in Central Indiana, the organizers introduced a Children's Activity Area with Spin-a-Pot Pottery, face painting, and a community art project.

Participating in the Talbot Street Art Fair for the record 51st time, renowned artist, KP Singh (KP Singh Designs Booth #29) said “It has been a rewarding pleasure to witness the Art Fair grow in size and stature over the years, and to exhibit my artwork in this people-friendly and no-admission-fee Art Fair.
“There is a rich diversity of art and crafts for every taste and occasion created by the artists and crafts persons from across the country. The artwork from this street has traveled to Germany, France, India and a number of other countries.”

Educated in India and at the University of Michigan, KP Singh specializes in pen and ink drawings of private residences, public institutions and a wide range of subjects. His paintings, especially Khajuraho and the Taj Mahal, are loved by the visitors.

KP Singh said “the bazaar of art here is like in Chandni Chowk, Delhi.”
Danish-American Punjabi singer/dancer/producer Anita Hjorth Lerche visited KP Singh Designs Booth #29) on Saturday. She wrote “Sat Sri Akaal KP Singh ji. Wonderful getting to enjoy your beautiful art and seeing you and Jay Singh.”

Jay is KP Singh's son who was assisting his father at the fair..
