32-MEMBER CHANDIGARH TEAM FOR KHELO INDIA VARSITIES ROWING

A 32-member, including women, rowing players of Chandigarh are going to participate in the Khelo India Inter University Rowing Championships to be held at Ramgarh Taal's four-lane 2km course, from May 25 to 31 in Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Guru Nanak Dev University, Panjab University (Chandigarh), Kurukshetra University, (Kurukshetra), Shivaji University (Kolhapur), Kerala University and Punjabi University (Patiala) are some of the universities that are expected to dominate.

Rowers will fight for 72 gold medals, including 32 in the women's category.

Deepak Kumar Singh will accompany the team as a rowing coach and Deputy Director of Punjab University Rakesh Malik will be the manager of the team. Advocate Rajiv Sharma National umpire of Rowing Federation of India and honorary secretary of Chandigarh Rowing Association will be the technical official.

Chandigarh rowers will participate in all the 30 rowing events.
