Union Govt. has announed two days National mourning on the sad demise of five time Punjab Chief Ministger Former CM Parkash Singh Badal, who was heavenly abode on April 25 at Fortis Hospital Mohali. The National Flag will be at half-mast during this period. Meanwhile Punjab Govt. declare Public Holiday on April 27 as mark of respect to the departed soul. All the Corporations, Boards, school and Govt. office to remained closed as the Former CM 95 year old late will be cremated in his Home village Lambi.
Parkash Singh Badal was also kept in the intensive care unit (ICU) in fortis hospital, Mohali. He was closely monitored by the team of doctors but not recovered.
Last week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh took stock of Badal's health and wished him a speedy recovery. Badal, who has been the Chief Minister of Punjab for five times, was also admitted to the hospital in June last year due to gastritis and breathing problems. He was taken to a private hospital in Mohali in February 2022 for a post-Covid health check-up. Badal was infected with the corona virus in January last year and was admitted to a hospital in Ludhiana.
