Chandigarh Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police Station Sector-39, Sub-Division South West arrested three accused s i.e. Abhishek S/o Rakesh Kumar R/o # 164, Dadu Majra Colony, Chandigarh Age 22 years, Deepak @ Nokhi Ram S/o Vishnu R/o # 488, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh Age 18 years and Vishal S/o Gyan Bahadur Rokhamagar R/o # 222, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh Age 19 years and worked out case of snatching i.e. FIR No. 56 dated 10.04.2023 U/S 379-A,34 IPC added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh.
This case has been registered on the complaint of Ms Kamalpreet Kaur D/o Sh. Jagmohan Singh R/o # 379 (PG) Room 20, Phase-1, Mohali (PB). She reported that during the intervening night dated 07/08.04.2023, while she was going somewhere she stopped her Activa in front of Mandir, Sector 37/C,Chandigarh to pick a phone call, in the meantime three unknown boys without helmet came from Sector 37 side by Activa and snatched her Vivo mobile phone black colour and fled away from the spot.
On the directions of W/SSP Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS and SP City Sh. Mridul, IPS and under the supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, SDPO/South West, a team was constituted comprising of Inspector/SHO Eram Rizvi, SI Jagtar Singh 1491/CHG, C Sant Lal 6333/CP, C Sumit 5311/CP, C Bhim Singh 4969/CP, C Parveen 6404/CP, C Sandeep Kumar 6287/CP, C Virender 4124/CP.
During the course of investigation, the said case was cracked and accused Abhishek S/o Rakesh Kumar R/o # 164, Dadu Majra Colony, Chandigarh Age 22 years, Deepak @ Nokhi Ram S/o Vishnu R/o # 488, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh Age 18 years and Vishal S/o Gyan Bahadur Rokhamagar R/o # 222, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh Age 19 years have been arrested on 10.04.2023 and snatched mobile phone along with vehicle used in crime i.e. Activa has also been recovered from them.
