The team of Crime Branch under the supervision of Insp. Satvinder Singh able to arrest one Proclaim offender (pre arrest) of murder case,who was avoiding his arrest and absconding from last 02 years.
On dated 23.08.2020 a young boy namely Sandeep was murdered by Akash, Aman, Vikash and virender. During investigation Akash, Aman, Vikash was arrested by local Police in case FIR No. 168 dated 23.08.2020 u/s 323,302,34,120B IPC PS-Inds. Area, Chandigarh but one accused namely Virender @ Birender @ BIDI R/o # 126/1 Maloya Colony Chandigarh was avoiding his arrest and was absconding from last two years . Later on, accused Virender @ Birender @ BIDI was declared as proclaimed offender by the Hon’ble Court of Sh. Dr. AmanInder Singh CJM, UT, Chandigarh on 31.01.2022 in above said noted case.
Apprehension of PO: On dated 05.04.2023 accused Virender was arrested from Sec-43 on secret information and today he was presented before Hon’ble court and sent to judicial custody.
2nd Case
Beside this, team of Crime Branch also succeeded in arresting one more accused namely Rupinder Singh S/o Sh. Karam Singh R/o Vill- Dayalpura, Tehsil Derabassi Distt-Mohali (Pb) in case FIR No-55 dated 05.04.2023 U/S 473, 411 IPC, PS-11, U.T, Chandigarh on secret information.
A black color bullet M/Cycle stolen from Ludhiana was recovered from his possession, bearing fake number plate affixed on it. A case was got registered against him U/S 379, 411 IPC in PS-11 Chd. Today he was presented before the Hon’ble court and sent to judicial custody.
