A team of AGS, Crime Branch arrested a criminal named Vinod Dhobi, 51 Years, R/o Pandav Nagar, Delhi from Tilak Nagar area. The accused Vinod was wanted in kidnapping and rape r/w POCSO Act case of PS Ranjeet Nagar registered vide case FIR No. 353/2014 u/s 363/363A/376D/506/376/120B IPC and 6 of POCSO Act. The accused was changing his address frequently & was declared proclaimed offender and was evading his arrest since last 09 years.
Complainant lodged a complaint at PS Ranjit Nagar regarding kidnapping of her daughter aged 15 years on which a case vide FIR No. 353/2014 u/s 363 IPC PS Ranjit Nagar was registered. During course of investigation it was revealed that victim was kidnapped by accused and his four other associates and later on they raped her. During course of investigation four accused were arrested in 2014 and sections 363A/376D/506/376/120B IPC and 6 of POCSO Act were added in the case. Accused Vinod was absconding and deliberately evading his arrest.
A team of AGS comprising of SI Sachin Gulia, ASI Brij Lal, ASI Mukesh, HC Vinod, HC Narender, HC Deepak, HC Shyam Sunder, HC Mintu, HC Pappu, HC Omvir and Ct Dheeraj led by Insp Krishan Kumar & Insp Gulshan under the close supervision of ACP Naresh Kumar was constituted by DCP Amit Goyal & Joint CP S.D Mishra to nab the absconder.(SUBHEAD)
A secret information was received to HC Vinod about the presence of accused in Tilak Nagar. On the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted and accused was apprehended from Tilak Nagar, Delhi.
Mr. Ravindra Singh Yadav, IPS, Special Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, in the year 2014, he came in contact with Bhagwan Dass and Jacky, who were habitual criminals of the area. All accused with common intention kidnapped a minor girl and raped her. During course of investigation four accused were arrested in this case, but accused Vinod was avoiding his arrest since 2014. He left his parental house and started residing in various parts of Delhi and NCR. Presently he was residing in Tilak Nagar and doing the work of a washer man.
The accused Vinod belongs to a middle class family. Presently he was residing in Tilak Nagar and had studied up to 12th standard from govt. school Rajender Nagar. He is married and left his wife and family after this incident.
