QUALITY CONNECT PROGRAM FLAGGED OFF ON WORLD CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY

Haryana Branch Office of Bureau of Indian Standards flagged off Quality Connect Program 3.0 on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day. Volunteers from Rotary Club and CCET College, Chandigarh participated in the programme. Ms Anushka Srivastava, Standards Promotion Officer, Haryana Branch Office informed about the relevance of Manak Mahotsav.

She encouraged all the students and consumers to actively participate in the various activities being undertaken by Bureau of Indian Standards under Manak Mahotsav and explained to them about various BIS activities, features of BIS Care App, products under mandatory certification and consumer focus standards.(SUBHEAD)

She also apprised them of various features of BIS Care App to check the genuineness of ISI Mark, Hallmark and Registration Mark.

These volunteers will visit 25 houses in their respective areas and spread awareness among consumers about their rights and protection. For this work, the volunteers will also get an appropriate honorarium.

Shri Surinder Verma, Chairman of Citizen Awareness Group flagged off the Campaign on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day, 2023. He also appreciated the motive behind the Quality Connect Programme which is to make consumers aware about quality and standards.
