BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Sarangpur, one of the 38 colleges affiliated with Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, teaches students Akshar-Purushottam Darshan, Logic (Nyay), Grammar (Vyakaran), Literature (Sahitya), and other subjects in Sanskrit as part of the BA (Shastri), MA (Acharya) and other courses in Swaminarayan Vedant.

(SUBHEAD)The convocation ceremony for BA and MA graduates in the academic year 2021–22 was held in the presence of Acharya Devvrat (Governor of Gujarat) via video conference; and the in-person presence of Praful Pansuriya (Education Minister, Gujarat), Shrinivas Varkhedi (Vice Chancellor, National Sanskrit University, New Delhi), Dr. Lalit Kumar Patel (Vice Chancellor, Shree Somnath Sanskrit University) and other dignitaries.
Students of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya were presented the gold and silver medals for attaining first and second ranks in the BA and the MA exams. Krishna Gajendra Panda, a professor at BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, was awarded a doctorate (PhD) for successfully completing his thesis on Akshar-Purushottam Darshan.
