UTKARSH GLOBAL FOUNDATION NGO ORGANIZED MASSIVE SAY NO TO SINGLE USE OF PLASTIC

Utkarsh Global Foundation NGO organized massive Say No to Single Use of Plastic in Government Schools of Punjab, Cleanliness Drive, Awareness Program, Painting Competition, Cloth Bag Distribution Program and campaign to environmental awareness, interest and love among children for mother Nature.

The children, along with the staff, headmistress and other guests, learned today that the chemicals inside single-use plastic have a very bad effect on the health of humans and the environment. Due to plastic, there is a lot of soil erosion. The chemical inside it goes into the water bodies along with the rain water, which is quite dangerous.

On Wednesday 500 cloth bags were distributed to students and school staff, special workshop on the harmful effects of plastic on the environment

(SUBHEAD)A special painting competition was organized , campus cleaning drive and environmental awareness. Mr. Daljeet Singh (North Coordinator) has contributed a very important role in completing this program with his cooperation, He has provided more environmental awareness to the children and the children also shared their contribution with everyone through painting and speeches. They shared thoughts with the classmates and all teachers and took an oath to create awareness among people about plastic and to minimize its use and also started a cleanliness campaign around him.

Say no to single use plastic!!

Punjab and Chandigarh have been battling plastic pollution for years. Government of Punjab and Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and Municipal Corporation Mohali, CPCC and Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and other administration along with partner organizations are taking initiatives to curb the menace of plastic. Utkarsh Global Foundation, Punjab along with its Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu branches organized a massive cleanliness drive at Government High School Tanda in Punjab.

The campaign has been organized in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Mohali Municipal Council and Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Punjab and is a part of Mission Tandrust, Government of Punjab.

Daljeet Singh State Coordinator, Utkarsh Global Foundation-Punjab Chapter says, “Utkarsh has been running the “Say No to Single-Use Plastic” campaign in Punjab and Chandigarh for the last 6 months.  

The program was also attended by Mrs. Vijay Bhagat (Headmistress), Amandeep Kaur (Sports Teacher) and other staff. North Coordinator Daljeet Singh, Fund Raising Manager Shashank Sharma and Senior Executive of Fund Raising Akash Deep participated in this awareness campaign on behalf of Utkarsh Global Foundation.

The main attraction of the event was the participation of volunteers in large numbers and the positive attitude of the children in the painting competition and their interest and love for the environment awareness.

Utkarsh Global Foundation also distributed participation and appreciation certificates to the students who participated in the painting competition as a token of appreciation to the students and staff.
