CBI ARRESTS GURUGRAM SENIOR HORTICULTURE OFFICER FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS.5 LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Senior Horticulture Officer namely Sunil Kumar Rewar posted at National Horticulture Board, Gurugram(Haryana) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.5 Lakh from the Complainant. 

A case was registered on complaint against a Senior Horticulture Officer, National Horticulture Board, Gurugram on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs.5 Lakh from Complainant for getting the subsidy amount released as per the Government of India Scheme implemented by National Horticulture Board for Horticulture activity in favour of Complainant. (SUBHEAD)

CBI laid a trap wherein accused was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.5 Lakh from the Complainant. Searches were conducted at 3 locations at the premises of accused in District Jhunjhanu(Rajasthan) & Gurugram which led to recovery of incriminating documents relating to property, Bank details, investment dfetails & relevant file relating to Complainant’s matter etc. 

The arrested accused was produced before the Competent Court at Panchkula(Haryana ) and remanded to Judicial Custody.
