AWWA is a cohesive vibrant and responsive institution dedicated to the welfare of army wives and dependents.
AWWA strives to achieve its objectives through combined efforts and participation of its members. Unpredictability in the line of work in the Defence Forces brings with it a lot of uncertainty and pressures associated with a soldier’s day-to-day life.
Be it the loss of lives or sudden movement /mobilisation of units, it is the Army wives who bear the onus of gluing their family together and moulding their children’s future. Many of them are highly qualified and have multifarious talents. However, owing to the vagaries of the military life, they have to sacrifice their career aspirations in order to fulfil their role as a supportive wife, loving mother and an understanding companion.
These women are heroes in their own way and pillars of the families of the Army Personnel. AWWA ‘Hunar Haat’ is an endeavour to nurture the potential of these pillars of strength of our brave hearts.
