During night hours, Border Security Force troops deployed at border heard buzzing sound and blinking red light of a suspected flying object (drone) entering from Pakistan into Indian territory in the area
near own bordering Village – Mumbeke, in District – Fazilka.
As per drill, troops tried to intercept the drone by firing. The whole area was cordoned and Police & concerned sister agencies were informed.
(MOREPIC2)(SUBHEAD) Further, during search of the area, BSF troops so far have recovered 3 packets of contraband, suspected to be heroin (Gross wt. – 2.622 kgs) alongwith a blinker device from a wheat field near Vill – Mumbeke border village in Fazilka Distt. The contraband valued Rs. near 15 crores in international market.
BSF troops, once again foiled the nefarious designs of smugglers to smuggle contrabands.
