UT ADVISER FLAGGED OFF THE CYCLOTHON AND ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THE 20 KM TO TO CREATE A BUZZ REGARDING G-20 SUMMIT’S

Sports Department organised a cyclothon from Lake Sports Complex, Chandigarh today to create a buzz regarding G-20 summit’s scheduled to be held at Chandigarh.

Sh. Dharam Pal, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh, flagged off the cyclothon and also participated in the 20 Km cyclothon along with Sh. Sorabh Arora, PCS Director Sports.

Around 200 cyclists from ‘Cycle-Garh’ – a cycling association of cycling enthusiasts of Chandigarh as well as trainees of sports centers of Chandigarh Sports Department, completed the 20 Km cyclothon.

Sh. Sorabh Arora, Director Sports apprised that more events in lieu of the same like marathons etc. are also on the anvil.

Dr Sunil Rayat, Joint Director Sports and Sh Dharmender, DSO alongwith other officials of Sports Department were also present.
