ACHIEVEMENT: DEV SAMAJ COLLEGE OF EDUCATION GRADED A BY NAAC IN THE 4TH CYCLE OF ACCREDITATION

Dev Samaj College of Education(DSCE), Sector 36, Chandigarh has been re-accredited with Grade 'A' by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), consecutively for the 4th cycle.

Dr Agnese Dhillon, Principal DSCE 36, said, “The college was the first in the northern region to be recognized by NCTE(National Council for Teacher Education) in the year 1997 and it is also the first teacher education college in the northern region to have been accredited with four stars by NAAC in 2002; and with the grade 'A' in its second cycle of NAAC accreditation in 2010. The college has been awarded with 'A' grade by NAAC in the third cycle as well in the year 2017. Now the college takes pride in announcing that it has been again accredited with an 'A' grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in the fourth cycle of accreditation. The college is a pioneer in women education, particularly in teacher education.”(SUBHEAD) 

 

Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Secretary Dev Samaj and Chairman, DSCE, Sec 36 said: “I congratulate principal Dr Agnese Dhillon, all the college staff members and students. The immense work done by our college principal, faculty and the dedication of our students towards learning has resulted in this recognition. The accreditation is a big boost which will help us enhance our offerings in academics and other allied areas further.”

Speaking on the latest achievement by the college, Maanvinder S. Mangat, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Dev Samaj said, “This has been possible due to the dynamic vision and guidance of Nirmal Singh Dhillon, Secretary Dev Samaj and Chairman, DSCE 36, and the able leadership of our Member Council and Principal DSCE 36, Dr Agnese Dhillon, and tireless efforts and team work of the college's staff.”

It is pertinent to mention here that the core team of the college that was handling the coordination with NAAC had a pivotal role in achieving the feat. The main members of the team included Dr. Anita Nangia, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Coordinator, and Dr. Anuradha Agnihotri & Dr. Seema Sareen- both Co- Coordinators.
