In a sensational incident gangsters of Gagan Judge gang of Ferozepur opened fire on the Chandigarh police operation Cell party near Golf Club Turn behind Sukhna Lake on Thursday evening.
On receiving information, the team of Operation Cell reached the spot headed by Inspector Amanjot Singh. Fortunately, the Chandigarh Police team unhurt by firing. Later both the accused chased and booked under attempt to murder and Arms Act in Sector 26 Police Station.
The accused identified as Dildeep alias Lassi and Shiva of Ferozepur. Police investigation has revealed that Dildeep is involved in two murder cases. A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Shiva. Police recovered 1 pistol of .32 bore and 4 live cartridges have been recovered from Dildeep and country made pistol and 2 live cartridges of .315 bore have been recovered from Shiva.
The police will find out the source of weapons from both the criminals and will also gather information about their planning regarding possible crime.
Inspector Amanjot Singh along with his team reached the spot and during the checking of these criminals, when the police party reached them, one of them took out a pistol and fired one round at the police party. At the same time, when he started firing the second round, the pistol got locked. Taking immediate action in such a situation, the team of Operation Cell nabbed both the accused. Both the accused were planning criminal activitied.
