Fourth seed Yu Maeda and his partner Shingo Masuda from Japan lifted the boys doubles title by beating second seeded Japanese pair of Takamasa Mishiro and Satoru Nakajima in the final by 4-6, 6-3 [10-6] of the Chandigarh ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here on Friday. today.

In the girls doubles final top seed Suhitha Maruri of India and Kitti Molnar of Hungary defeated Lidia Podgorichani and Kamonwan Yodpetch of Thailand 7-5, 7-6 (3) in straight sets.

Fourth seed Lidia Fodgorichani of Thailand and second seed Donghyun Hwang of Korea entered singles finals. Lidia Fodgorichani defeated Maya Dutta of USA in 3 setter marathon match 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, In the girls singles semifinals. After the first set down 4-6 Lidia bounced back 6-2, 6-4 in second and third sets. Lidia will play against Dominika Podhajecka of Poland in girls singles finals tomorrow.

Dominika Podhajecka won from Allegra Korpanec Davies of Great Britain 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets. In the boys singles first semifinals second seed Donghyun Hwang of Korea defeated his hitting partner Se Hyuk Cho of Korea 6-2, 6-0 in an easy match.

In the secondr semifinals Timofei Derepasko upset sixth seed Shingo Masuda of Japan 6-0, 3-6, 6-3 in a 3 setter match. Timofei Derepasko played a solid match and took the first set 6-0 without conceding a single game. In the second set Shingo Masuda maintained his consistency with his energetic game to close the second set 6-3. In the final set both players played top class tennis, finally Timofei Derepasko got back his rhythm and took the final set and the match 6-3 in a close match.(SUBHEAD)
