A complaint was received at P.S Pandav Nagar where it was alleged the One Yagvender Yadav R/O Shashi Garden, 27 yrs had threatened a 19 year old girl living in his neighbourhood that he will throw acid on her if she doesn’t marry him.
Amrutha Guguloth, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Distt, said, on the basis of the complaint, a case FIR 01/2023, dated 01.01.2023, u/s 341, 506 was immediately registered. Subsequently, victim’s statement was recorded u/s 164 CrPC by the magistrate and sections 354B & 354D were added to the FIR. No injury was caused to the victim in the incident.
Efforts are on to arrest the accused who is absconding.
