Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that we will not call only physical development as development. Along with this we have to lay stress on the mental, social, intellectual and spiritual development of man. If we want the happiness of material development then spiritual development is necessary.
Attention has to be paid on how to create values in human beings, and how to raise the spiritual level. We have to come forward and work on how to end the diseases like drug addiction, wrong habits, stress in the society. The Brahma Kumaris are engaged in this task, he added.
Speaking at the national convention organized by Brahma Kumaris at Shantivan, Abu Road, on the topic of social transformation from spiritual empowerment, the CM said that the Haryana government has made a plan to spread the thoughts of saints and mahatmas to the society. Khattar said that due to the call of the Prime Minister Narendra, the world is accepting Yoga and we are celebrating June 21 as Yoga Day. Brahma Kumaris organisation is stretching this line through spirituality with a goal. In fact, if we go ahead and increase its effect, then society will be happy.
Narrating his life experience, Khattar said that out of nowhere I came across a verse from the Gita which means keep doing your work, don't wish for the fruit. 45 years ago in the year 1977, by holding this one line, I dedicated my life to the nation. I have considered 3.5 crore people of Haryana as my family. We have said on the basis of spirituality that Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. But I have considered the whole of Haryana as my family because of my karma.
