Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh former Captain of Hockey team have been booked on complaint made by a lady coach of Haryana against Sports Minister Haryana, a case FIR dated 31.12.2022 u/s 354, 354A, 354B, 342, 506 IPC Police Station Sector 26, Chandigarh and investigating.
After registeration of Case on Saturday, Minister and Hockey star Olympian Sandeep Singh resigned from Cabinet on the eve of New Year on Sunday. Sandeep Singh today met the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and handed over his resignation. CM as taken the charge of Sports Minister for a while. The resignation was not yet accepted.
The junior women's coach of the sports department had complained against Sandeep Singh , in which she told the police that Sandeep Singh was accused of molesting and threatening him in his Sector 7 official residence.
Haryana Sports Minister Hockey star Olympian Sandeep Singh has resigned. On Sunday itself, a case of harassment of a female coach in Chandigarh came to light against him. After which Sandeep Singh met Chief Minister Manohar Lal in the morning and handed over his resignation.
In her complaint lady coach said that after participating in the 2016 Rio Olympics, she was recruited as a junior coach in the sports department. After which Sandeep Singh sent messages to him on Instagram and Snapchat. Then called me to meet Chandigarh Sector 7 Lake Side. According to the allegations of the women's coach, on July 1, 2022 , the minister made a Snapchat call to her and was asked to come to my residence in Sector 7, Chandigarh for document verification.(SUBHEAD)
She further alleged that after this she reached the official house of the minister. There he did not want to sit in the office with the camera. He took me to a separate cabin. There he put his hand on my leg. The minister said that you keep me happy, I will keep you happy. If you obey me, you will get all the facilities and posting at the desired place and during this my T-shirt was torn. Making serious allegations, the female coach said that at around 6.50 pm, Minister Sandeep Singh molested her.
During this, the women's coach's T-shirt got torn. Somehow she escaped from their clutches and went outside.
The women's coach alleged that when I did not listen to the minister, I was transferred. Even my training was stopped. I tried at every level to complain about the incident to the DGP office, CM House and Home Minister Anil Vij, but there was no hearing anywhere.
Ultimately she made written complaint to Sector 26 Police Station Chandigarh as well as to Haryana Police. It may be recalled that DGP of Haryana had constituted the SIT comprising of HPS Rajkumar Kaushik , IPS Mamta Singh and Samar Pratap Singh and seek the report. Mamta Singh is leading the SIT. The DGP had asked for an early report of the complete investigation of this case.
