Chandigarh Police achieved success to investigated the FIR No. 51 dated 22.08.2022 U/S 363, 376, 06 POCSO Act case with keen interest to work out the said case in a very fast and effective manner. It is their hard work and devotion to duty that Chandigarh Police successful to solve the case and present in the court for trial in a very short time in the supervision of Insp./SHO Rohit Kumar PS Sarangpur.
It is submitted that On 19.08.2022 at about 09.00 PM information received in Police Station Sarangpur from C/Room that near TVS Agency, Dhanas, Chandigarh rape with 7 years old girl. On this, information L/SI Sundri, 1179/CHG with police official, reached at the spot near TVS Agency, Dhanas, Chandigarh and Victim Girl Age about 07 Years old found present along with her parents and immediately without any delay L/SI Sundri lifted the victim girl along with her parents and rushed to GMSH-16 for treatment and statement of victim’s father also got recorded, in which come to light in notice that the incident spot falls in Forest Area Near Wine Shop Togan, Distt. Mohali, Punjab.(SUBHEAD)
In this regard on 20.08.2022 Zero FIR U/s 376 IPC and 06 POCSO Act has been registered on behalf of DDR No. 02 dated 20.08.2022 against unknown person PS Sarangpur.
During the course of investigation many efforts madeout in the search of accused and the CCTV cameras in the jurisdiction of PS Sarangpur and near by the place of incident checked and accused found going with victim girl in the CCTV camera recording of Wine Shop Milk Colony Dhanas and general store vill- togan. The accused identified as Prakash S/o Karan Singh R/o # 1283/A Small Flat EWS Colony Dhanas Chandigarh.
After that, Zero FIR dated 20.08.2022 U/s 376 IPC and 06 POCSO Act converted in to regular FIR No. 51 dated 22.08.2022 U/S 363, 376, 06 POCSO Act against accused Prakash S/o Karan Singh R/o # 1283/A Small Flat EWS Colony Dhanas Chandigarh and and after that on dated 22.08.2022 accused Prakash has been arrested The above said case has been solved within 03 days from the registration of Zero FIR .
On 20.10.2022 after completion of investigation without any delay the case file has been presented for trial before the Court of Ms. Swati Sehgal, ADJ Distt. Court Sec-43, Chandigarh. In this regard, undersigned deputed L/SI Sundari & SI Mohan Singh as Paravi Officers to coordinate with the trial court and to provided the requisite information & witnesses in time on the priority basis before the trial court.
On 16.12.2022 after completion trial, the fast track court sentenced the convict Prakash to life imprisonment.
The following officials of PS Sarangpur have investigated the said case with keen interest to work out the above said case in a very fast and effective manner.
