VICTORY PARADE ORGANISED ON VIJAY DIWAS

Commemorating the country's victory in the Indo-Pak War of 1971, a Vijay Diwas parade was organized at Fazilka. The parade dedicated to Vijay Diwas by Martyrs Memorial Committee Asafwala started from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Market near District Administration Complex and passed through Sanjeev Cinema Chowk, Gaushala Road, Cycle Bazar, Shastri Chowk and ended at the historic Ghanta Ghar.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal said that the soldiers who made sacrifices to maintain the honour and glory of the country will be remembered till the end of the world. It is the moral responsibility of every citizen to respect the families of martyred soldiers and their dependents.

MLA Narinderpal Singh Sawna said that martyrs are the capital of our country and nation. He said that every citizen of the country pays tribute to the exemplary duty performed by the Army jawans who are always deployed on the border to protect the country.(SUBHEAD)

The family members of soldiers, who were martyred during the Indo-Pak War of 1971 and joined the parade were honored by the people by showering flowers at different places.

Brigadier Manish Kumar Jain, Colonel Sumit Gabral, SSP Bhupinder Singh, Praful Chander Nagpal, Shashi Kant and others participated in the parade.
