FIT INDIA RUN : TWO DAYS RUN FROM CHANDIGARH TO MUSSOORIE FROM DEC. 10

Chandigarh Distance Runners, the biggest running group of Tricity alongwith NCC is conducting Fit India Run from Chandigarh to Mussoorie covering a distance of 250 km with elevation of 2005 mtrs in two days from 10 Dec to 11 Dec 2022.

The run is a relay run with 35 runners divided into 08 groups carrying the baton. Each group of runners will run for two hours and hand over the baton to next group. The first night halt will be at Saharanpur and next day on 11 Dec 2022 the runners will reach Mussoorie.

There are seven runners who will be running 100 kms daily from start to finish who include Amit Singla, Rakesh Kashyap (Spartathon Champion) Dr Vinit Kaura, Rajiv Batra, Dr Harpreet, Dr Saran and Vinod. A number of other runners will be running 30 to 50 km daily.(SUBHEAD)

The Chandigarh Distance Runners aims to spread the message of Fit India Run through this initiave which is a follow up of the NCC Platinum Jubilee Half Marathon which was conducted on 27 Nov 2022 at Chandigarh Club. The Commanding Officer of 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC Col Umakant Sharma is one of the group leaders with baton alongwith three NCC Officers Lt Nikhlesh Thakur, Second Officer Poonam Rana and and GCI Kamaljeet Kaur who will be running both days.

NCC Cadets will join enroute during the relay run with this group and spread the message of Fitness First as part of NCC Platinum Jubilee Celebrations this year.
