Police achieved a major success when the Police Staff of Police Station Sector-39, Sub-Division South West arrested three accused persons i.e. Feroz S/o Ikhlak, age 22 years R/o H.No. 6270, Maloya Colony Chandigarh, Rakesh Kumar S/o Lal G Madanwal, age 26 years R/o Village- harkhi Daulatpur, Judupur Sultanpur (UP) Age-26 Years Hall C/O Malkit Singh upper hotel Shanshine Atawa Chandigarh and Avinash Kumar S/o Lt Jagatpal, age 19 years R/o H.No. 3789, Maloya Colony Chandigarh and worked out three (03) cases of Misc. theft by recovering 08 car batteries (02 in cases & 06 batteries u/S 102 Cr.PC) in case FIR No. 172 & 173 dated 29.10.2022 U/S 379 added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh, Chandigarh and 05 Bicycles (01 in FIR and remaining 04 U/s 102 Cr.PC) in Case FIR No. 199 dated 03.12.2022 U/S 379 added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh.
It was reported that on 29.10.2022 complainant Sh. Ravinder Kumar R/o # 1465/B, Sector 37/B, Chandigarh in the morning, tried to start his car bearing No. CH04F-6637 but his car was not starting. He opened the car bonnet and found that car battery make of Excide 35L is stolen from car. Thereafter FIR No. 172 dated 29.10.2022 U/S 379 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh was registered accordingly
On 29.10.2022 complainant Sh. Puneet Kumar S/o omkar Neth R/o # 432/1, Sector 40/A, Chandigarh reported that he had parked his Maruti Alto car No. CH04F-5764 near house No. 320, Sector 40/A, Chandigarh. When he tried to start his car but car was not starting. He opened car bonnet and found that car battery was not there. Thereafter FIR No. 173 dated 29.10.2022 U/S 379 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh was registered accordingly.
On 03.12.2022, Vikas Sigal S/o Satpal Sigal # 236/1 Sector-41 A Chandigarh. He reported that his son’s bicycle make SUNCROSS colour red black parked near his residence on 26.9.2022 when he checked bicycle the same was not there he tried at his level best but in vain. Thereafter case FIR No. 199 dated 03.12.2022 U/S 379 added 411 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh was registered accordingly
On the Directions of W/SSP, Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Mridul, IPS, SDPO/South West, two team was constituted comprising of Inspector/SHO Eram Rizvi, one is led by SI Jagtar Singh 1491/CHG and Ct. Arvind No. 4111/CP and another one led by ASI Gurdev Singh No. 427/CP Ct. Ramesh 6234/CP, Ct Parveen 6404/CP.
During the course of investigation, above said cases have been cracked on secrete information. On this information, on 04.12.2022, 02 accused persons involved in battery theft cases (FIR No. 172 & 173/2022) i.e. Feroz S/o Ikhlak, age 22 years R/o H.No. 6270, Maloya Colony Chandigarh, Rakesh Kumar S/o Lal G Madanwal, age 26 years R/o Village- harkhi Daulatpur, Judupur Sultanpur (UP) Age-26 Years Hall C/O Malkit Singh upper hotel Shanshine Atawa Chandigarh arrested and car batteries have been recovered from them and accused Avinash Kumar S/o Lt Jagatpal, age 19 years R/o H.No. 3789, Maloya Colony Chandigarh has also been arrested on 04.12.2022 and 05 bicycles have been recovered from him.
