WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS FELICITATED WITH WOW 2.0 AWARDS DURING A GLITTERING CEREMONY TO MARK WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS DAY

From healthcare to community service, and from fashion to business enterprise, the Women Entrepreneurs belonging to the city who have excelled in various fields and professions, were felicitated on the occasion of Women Entrepreneurs Day with WOW 2.0 Awards (Wonderful Outstanding Women) during a glittering ceremony held at DCM Young Entrepreneurs School.

The WOW 2.0 awards ceremony saw an ensemble of some Exemplary Women Achievers of Ludhiana walking up to the stage to receive the coveted award who by their hard work, perseverance and far sighted vision have attained unprecedented success, and have set an example for all aspiring young women in the region.

The WOW 2.0 Exemplary Women Achievers award ceremony was the second edition of the WOW awards, the first being conceptualized in the year 2021 held at Hotel Hyatt. On the occasion, Dr Kaustab Sharma, Inspector General of Police Ludhiana Range was the Chief Guest, while Dr Anirudh Gupta, CEO, DCM Group, presided over the event.(SUBHEAD)

(MOREPIC2)(MOREPIC3)  Dr Gupta said that the WOW series of awards are going to be an annual event intending to play a key role in recognizing and re-defining the contribution of all dynamic women achievers of Ludhiana who have changed the economic landscape of region with their grit and determination. He said that WOW awards will foster the positive impact women make on the society, adding that it was important to celebrate their success and encourage these outstanding women by acknowledging their strengths and achievements across varied fields.

The WOW 2.0 award giving ceremony held at DCM Young Entrepreneurs School, Rajguru Nagar, brought all the women entrepreneurs on the common platform who have effortlessly broken the glass ceiling across varied fields from entrepreneurship to enterprises, sports to medicine, education to healthcare, from media to community outreach etc with élan.

While lauding the efforts of the YES School for organizing the event, Dr Kaustab Sharma congratulated all the awardees for their stupendous success. He said that these Women Entrepreneurs of Ludhiana were role models for the next generations. He also appreciated the infrastructure and vision of DCM YES School which he said has a revolutionary vision to groom young minds for the information age. Ruchika Gupta, AGM Operations at YES said that education is the growth engine of any economy and if we are able to provide the right kind of education and skills, only then will we be able to achieve the dream of “Make in India” and “Atma Nirbhar Bharat”.

On the occasion, prominent people from various walks of life besides eminent industrialists, members of various NGOs including Rajiv Garg, Satdev Jindal, Dr Gian Singh Kalra, Dr Charanjit Kamal, Mridula Jain, Dr Nitin Aggarwal, ladies from FICCI FLO, members of Club 21 were also present.
