The first program of the All-India Arora Khatri Punjabi Community in Abohar was held at Arorvansh Dharamshala. The community's national president Kamal Handa and former national convener Sahib Dayal Wadhwa were accorded a grand welcome. Special guests included former MLA Arun Narang, Municipal Corporation Mayor Vimal Thatai, City Congress ex-president Sudhir Nagpal, councilor Vijay Nagpal ex-SDM B.L. Sikka.
Vipan Nagpal, President Arorvansh Dharamshala Charitable Trust and Anil Nagpal, former Chairman of the Improvement Trust also graced the stage.
The guests lit lamps before the portrait of Shri Arut Ji Maharaj and also garlanded the recently installed statue. Kamal Handa explained the glorious history of Arora Khatri fraternity and called upon everyone to work for the betterment of the society. Sahib Dayal Wadhwa said that Arora Khatri Punjabi Community will always be ready to help the backward and needy section of our society. The senior leaders installed Naresh Khurana as Abohar area president and Bhisham Thakkar as Chief Advisor.
Naresh Khurana, after taking the oath of office, assured that he would work for the betterment of Arora-Khatri society by dedicating his body, mind and wealth.
