GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ARTS WITNESSED GREAT ENTHUSIASM AT THE INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF 'SULEKH'

The inauguration commenced with an address to the audience followed by the introduction of the master calligrapher Inku Kumar who hails from Delhi and has a large body of work to his credit. He has had two solo calligraphy shows and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, art camps, workshops, and demonstrations nationally as well as internationally.

He is also credited to have initiated a new concept name 'Calli meet' which brings together amateur and professional calligraphers under one roof. The Principal addressed the students with encouraging words. She stressed on the importance of art of calligraphy and stated that today calligraphy is an art work that bridges the distinction between writing and art.

She was supportive for the faculty members to have brought this program to life.Dr Anand Shende coordinator and Mr. Pawan Saini chief coordinator of the workshop appreciated principal ma’am for bringing a vibe of positivity to the college campus with new and inventive workshops in each and every department.

He also applauded the faculty members and students of our college who are reinventing themselves through the workshops being conducted in the college after the pandemic period. He was encouraging and appreciative of teamGCA.On the first day of the demonstration, the students were highly enthusiastic and eager to learn various nuances of calligraphy. They were keen observers and patient listeners, learning the basic tools of the trade from master calligrapher himself. GCA hopes to see the same enthusiasm and excitement during the next two days of the workshop.
