On the basis of secret information, District Crime Cell, Chandigarh succeeded to arrest a close associate of Lawerence Bishnoi’s gang namely Mohit Bhardwaj aged 32 years S/O Rajesh Kumar R/O H. No. 151, Phase -1, Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, Chandigarh on 28.10.2022 from near Shastri Nagar light point, Manimajra and recovered a Pistol Made in USA.
He is very close to gangster Deepak @ Tinu (involved in Sidhu Mussewala murder case) who escaped from police custody of CIA Mansa, Punjab and later on arrested by Delhi Police from Ajmer in Rajasthan.
A case under Arms Act was registered against him at Police Station I.T. Park, Chandigarh. He was produced before the Illaqa Magistrate and obtained two days police custody.(SUBHEAD)
During his interrogation, he disclosed that in the month of July 2022, Punjab Police Sub- Inspector namely Pritpal Singh had come to Chandigarh and on the directions of Deepak @ Tinu, he facilitated him. He hosted parties in a club for him and took him for shopping.
He is a class fellow of gangster Sampat Nehra and active member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. Further investigation/interrogation of the accused is in progress.
Police said, the accused studed upto 10+2 and still unmarried. By Profession, he runs finanancial business and Sale/Purchase of pre owned two wheeler. He was previously involved and arrested in a case U/S 326 IPC of PS Sector-26, Chandigarh and another case of assault on public servant was registered against him at PS Sector-17, Chandigarh.
