PUNJAB TURNING INTO OPEN DRUG MARKET UNDER MANN’S FAILED PROMISES: CHUGH

AAP’S ‘DRUG-FREE PUNJAB’ CLAIM SHATTERED AGAIN IN MALOUT

Face2News/Chandigarh

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said that the open sale of chitta in Malout completely exposes the false claims of the Bhagwant Mann government on making Punjab drug-free. He said that this shocking situation in Baba Deep Singh Nagar, Patel Nagar and Chhajghar mohalla, where chitta is being sold like sugar, has once again revealed the ground reality behind the tall promises made by AAP for almost four years.

Citing media reports Chugh said that dozens of houses openly running chitta business proves that the Mann government’s anti-drug campaign has been nothing more than a PR gimmick. He said that the so-called Yudh Nasheyan Virudh programme was only meant to mislead people while in reality Punjab’s youth are being pushed deeper into addiction. He added that shocking reports stating walls marked with “chitta available here” reflect the complete collapse of governance and policing.

He said that AAP leaders made big speeches and photo-op announcements, but the truth remains that Punjab continues to be drowned in drugs while the government looks the other way. Chugh reminded that Arvind Kejriwal had promised to eliminate drugs within twenty-four hours if voted to power, but even the deadline he set has long expired while the drug network has only spread stronger roots under this AAP regime.

Chugh said the alarming rise of chitta in Malout is not just a law-and-order failure but a humanitarian disaster for Punjab’s future generations. He warned that if immediate action is not taken, Punjab’s youth – the very future of the state – will continue to be destroyed while the Mann government keeps celebrating imaginary achievements.
