Targetting the AAP regime for their deafening silence over inaction against corruption charges levelled against one of their own Minister, former Member Parliament (MP) and BJP leader Sunil Jakhar on Monday raised questions about the manner in which the vigilance officer first invited and then shared his location with now-arrested former Cabinet Minister Sunder Sham Arora for a 'meeting' at his home.
This is against all norms and rules of police investigation, Jakhar said adding that it belies commonsense that an officer who is investigating the accused would ask the latter to come to his home.
Emphasising that he was not giving clean chit to anyone, Jakhar however underlined that the gross neglect of propriety and established procedure raise seriuos suspicion and doubt which demand an answer.
It seems like an enticement to elicit illegal gratification, Jakhar said adding that the suspicion becomes stronger and pertinent in backdrop of Vigilance Bureau's arrest of an AIG level officer in a similarly sounding extortion case recently.(SUBHEAD)(MOREPIC1)
Blaming the AAP regime for deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, Jakhar said the incidents including escape from custody of Sidhu Moosewala's murderer, panic amongst people at heightened activity of anti-national elements reflects failure of AAP on all fronts.
Their own Minister has been shown to be indulging in corruption in a viral video and still no action has been initiated, Jakhar said adding that AAP is trying to divert attention from its failures.
Targetting Delhi CM Kejriwal for equating tainted Deputy CM Sisodia with Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Jakhar said AAP has sadly been a party which has always disrepected our martyrs.
