INDUSTRIAL PLOTS ALLOTMENT CASE IN QUESTION

Former Cabinet Minister Sunder Sham Aroraof Captain Amrinder Singh Cabinet, who hails from Hoshiarpur, caught red handed by offering bribe to Vigilance officer AIG favouring a case of enquiry in a DA case, was remanded to Vigilance Custody for three days, by Distt. Court of Mohali on Sunday.
He was produced before the Distt. Court after medical examination.
Vigilance Bureau has sought five days police remand, pleaded to the court that Vigilance Bureau has to investigate from where Arora managed 50 lacs.(SUBHEAD)
The learned court after hearing arguements of both the parties respondent and plaintiff, remanded to vigilance custody for three days.
Earlier Vigilance Bureau (VB) reported to have arrested former Punjab Minister Sundar Sham Arora on the charge of giving bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Manmohan Kumar, AIG .This action against him has taken place in connection with vigilance investigation.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau said that an FIR has been lodged against the former minister under the Prevention of Corruption Act and a bribe amount of Rs 50 lakh has been recovered from the accused.
VIGILANCE BUREAU TO INVESTIGATE ITS OWN REPORT
Sources said, Punjab Vigilance Bureau, while recommended to take action against officers of Punjab Industry Department on allotments of Industrial Plots to known persons, will re investigate the allotments as the than Industry Minister Sunder sham Arora, who was now in Police Custody had said in March, 2019 that action would be taken against erring officers.
