DRUG SMUGGLING FROM AMRITSAR-DELHI, SELLING OUT IN RETAIL TO CHANDIGARH AND TRICITY CUSTOMERS

In a major breakthrough Chandigarh Police Crime Branch’s team cracked the whip on the drug paddlers, with the apprehension of drug paddlers namely Vishal and Sukhwinder Singh @ Sukha alongwith commercial quantities of drugs.
Both the accused identified as Vishal R/o House No. 586, Roshan colony, Ward No.6, Rajpura, District- Patiala, Punjab, age-27 years and Sukhwinder Singh @ Sukha R/o # 1798, Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon, Mohali, Pb. Aged 23 years.
Police said, on October 14, Police party of Crime Branch was on patrolling duty in the area of Police Station-IT Park, Chandigarh in regards with prevention and detection of crime. When the team was patrolling from IT Park towards Kishangarhchowk, one person was apprehended with the help of police officials 300 grams Heroin was recovered from his possession. He disclosed their name as Sukhwinder Singh @ Sukha R/o 1798, Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon, Mohali, PB,aged 23 years. Subsequently case FIR No. 71 Dated 14.10.2022 U/S 21 NDPS Act, PS-ITP, Chandigarh registered against him and arrested.
RECOVERY: 300 grams Heroin International value of this drug is about 30 lac., Rs. 50,000/- drug money., Electrical scale., Ford Figo car. (purchased with drug money) , Chevrolet Cruze car. (purchased with drug money)
MODUS OPERANDI: During investigation the accused Sukhwinder Singh @ Sukha revealed that he used to smuggle the drug from Amritsar (PB) & Delhi and sell out in Chandigarh and Tricity area.
On 15.10.2022 a police party of Crime Branch was on Naka duty, outer road, EWS colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh. During naka checking, one grey colored swift car was coming from the side of EWS colony,Dhanas.
On seeing the police party, he immediately turned the car back, on the basis of suspicion the car was stopped with the help of police party, when the police party reached near the driver’s side, car driver immediately opened the car window and tried to throw a transparent polythene away from the window with his right hand, the investigating officer immediately grabbed the transparent polythene containing heroin from his hand and he was apprehended, he disclosed his name as Vishal, on checking 308gram heroin was recovered from his possession.Consequently, case FIR No. 66 Dt. 15.10.2022 U/s 21 NDPS Act, PS-SRP, UT Chandigarh registered against drug peddler Vishal.
RECOVERY: 308 grams Heroin International value of this drug is about 30 lac., Maruti Swift grey colour car.
MODUS OPERAND: During investigation the accused Vishal revealed that he used to smuggle the drug from Dwarka Delhi and sell out in Chandigarh and Tricity area.
Previous History: Accused Vishal has a tainted past and has been arrested by the Punjab Police in 02 cases of NDPS Act.
Both accused were produced before the Hon’ble District Court and police remand have been obtained to ascertain the sources of origin of recovered contraband drugs and name of person (s), whom, it to be sell in tricity by arrested accused.
Meanwhile District Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Harsh Kumar R/o # 212, Saini Vihar, Baltana, Distt. Mohali, Punjab (age-32 years) and recovered14 gm heroin/smack from his possession near Community Centre, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh on 15-10-2022. A case FIR No. 67, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh.
In the meantime Police arrested Shekhar R/o Jhuggi No. 166, New Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh (age-26 years) and recovered 6.70 gm heroin from his possession near Veterinary Hospital, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 15-10-2022. A case FIR No. 72, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
