Rich tributes were paid to eminent philanthropist, social worker and reformer Hazari Lal Rinwa on his death anniversary during a function that was organised at Swami Keshwanand Senior Secondary School here on Friday. A Havan Yagna was performed under the guidance of Ashok Sharma Shastri while Dushyant was the chief host.
Rinwa was a close associate of octogenarian Swami Keshwanand former MP, freedom fighter and torchbearer of literacy. He had served as life-time president of historic Sahitya Sadan that was founded by the Swami here in 1924.(SUBHEAD)

Lekhak Parishad president Raj Sadosh said on the occasion thatSwami Keshwanand ji entrusted the work of Sahitya Sadan to Hazari Lal Rinwa and freedom fighter Lala Chandi Ram Verma. The light of literacy, national language and literature that was lit not only in Abohar but in the whole of Punjab and neighbouring Rajasthan with his efforts is visible in the 21st century as well. Rinwa ji was among the tall parliamentarian Balram Jakhar’s advisory group.
