To carry forward the mission of IFFCO former chairman Surinder Jakhar, the trust dedicated to his memory organised a spectacular dance competition here at the Nehru Park with the help of Allah Dance Aerobics Zumba Society. About 100 dancers performed their art.
Mayor Vimal Thatai, the special guest of the program, while addressing the people said that the Jakhar Trust has been making continuous efforts to make the youth aware of sports by organizing various types of competitions. He said that in order to keep the youth away from drugs, various types of competitions such as cricket tournaments, marathon races, volleyball matches, fitness competitions are organized by Jakhar Trust in Abohar and surrounding villages, so that the attention of the younger generation is developed for good health and positivity.
The Mayor rewarded the winner of this dance show by giving a cash prize of Rs.21 thousand to Sam, resident of Himachal, runner-up Abohar resident Aakriti with Rs 11 thousand and Bhangra team of Muktsar with second runner-up prize and trophy. The result of this competition was declared in a very fair manner by the judges of the competition Dinanath (Chandigarh), Shalu Dewan (Amritsar), Kiran Kumar, Davinder Sharma, winner of 3rd generation of Dance Diwane Season-1.
