A case FIR No. 51 dated 04.10.2022 U/S 419, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gajinder Singh Dhillon R/o # 3224, Sector, 27-D Chandigarh alleged that his wife received a whatsapp call his son Jaideep Singh Dhillion has done an accident in Canada in which one person was seriously injured and later on dead.
He informed them that their son is in police custody. Then they transferred Rs. 11.30 lakh in the given mobile number through google pay to release their son. The complainant fulfilled the alleged persons demand and hope his son would be released soon. Thereafter, the complainant’s daughter observed in her phone that their son was online in his phone. Then she messages him and asked him about his accident. He was totally surprised to know it and said he was sleeping.
Thus the alleged person’s fraud with him of Rs. 11.30 lakh.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
