THE POST GRADUATE GOVERNMENT COLLEGE CELEBRATED NSS DAY

NSS wing of the Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh, celebrated NSS day on Saturday in the college campus by organizing One Day NSS Camp. The camp marked the coming together of all the volunteers of different streams to enlighten the spirit of social responsibility and wellbeing.

Principal, Dr. Abha Sudarshan addressed the students with her words of motivation highlighting the spirit of service for the community and nation as the primary purpose of education. Sh. Shivanand Chaubey of the Shivanand Chaubey Memorial trust also graced the occasion and addressed the students regarding the upcoming Blood Donation Camp in the college.

(SUBHEAD)The day was marked by a series of motivational lectures by Dr. Sidharath In charge NSS and Dr Rajinder Singh Kaura, Head Department of Physical Education. Keeping up with the spirit of NSS “Not me but you” NSS volunteers of the college carried out cleanliness drive in the college campus. The highly motivated volunteers cleaned the college campus and the surrounding areas. They worked laboriously throughout the drive which highlighted the value of clean environment in maintaining the health of our planet and its living beings.

The efforts of the NSS volunteers were applauded by the Principal of the college. The event was organised by the NSS program officers Dr. Sidharath Kumar, Ms. Pooja Gupta, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur and Dr. Arvinder Singh.
