Hindi Divas was organized under the joint aegis of Central Bank of India, Branch 32 on behalf of Department of Hindi and Sanskrit at Goswami Ganesh Dutt Sanatan Dharma College, Chandigarh.  The keynote speaker of this program was Padma Shri awardee, former Vice Chancellor of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi, Prof.  Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra. 

Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal of the college welcomed the guests while describing the importance of Hindi literature and language. Shri Avinash ji (Branch Manager) and Shri Anil Kumar ji (Deputy Regional Manager) also participated in this program on behalf of Central Bank.  Dr. Pratibha Kumari, Head of Hindi Department reminded the responsibility towards our national language by considering the national anthem, national flag and national language as a symbol of national pride. 

Keynote speaker Dr. Abhiraj Rajendra Mishra ji underlined the contribution of Hindi language in the freedom struggle.  Dr. Devi Singh, Head of the Department of Sanskrit, delivered the vote of thanks to guests . The winners of poetry recitation competition, speech competition and poster making competition were also felicitated on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.
