Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Ms. Kalyani Singh (35) daugher of Himachal High Court Judge, after a day when CBI Court filed charge sheet in a CBI Court of Chandigarh, after 89 days of her arrest.
Sippy Sidhu shooter and Advocate was murdered in Sector27 Park, in Chandigarh. Kalyani was arrested after seven years of murder. She was in relationship with Sippy Sidhu.
Kalyani Singh had filed a petition in the High Court for bail. Earlier in the hearing, the High Court had reserved the decision. She was kept in Chandigarh's Burail Jail, was arrested on June 15 on charge of murder of 2015 case of Sippy Sidhu. (MOREPIC2)
It may be recalled that on 20 September 2015, Sippy Sidhu was gunned down in the park of Sector-27, Chandigarh. After the murder of Sippy, first the police registered a case and started action in the case, but when the matter was not resolved, then it was transferred to the CBI in 2016.
After which the CBI was continuously investigating the matter. On the other hand, Kalyani remained under suspicion regarding the Sippy Sidhu murder case. Due to which the CBI interrogated Kalyani several times , ultimately she was arrested.
