TWO BJP CANDIDATES FILE NOMINATIONS FOR ZILA PARISHAD ELECTION

Nomination papers for two Zila Parishad areas under Abohar Assembly constituency were filed today at Fazilka under the presence of Gurcharan Singh Sandhu, former minister Surjit Jyani and MLA Sandeep Jakhar.

Jakhar said that Bachchan Singh from Panjkosi area and Anita Jhatwal from Jandwala area have filed their nomination papers. Party officials and workers were present in large numbers during the nomination. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the workers and everyone raised loud slogans in support of their candidates.

BJP leaders said that both the candidates have a strong hold among the public and will contest the elections on development issues. Love and support being received from the people of the area makes the spirits high. The workers took a pledge of working for victory of both the candidates and called for intensifying the election campaign. Jakhar said that it is hoped that the Punjab government will conduct the elections peacefully without resorting to dictatorship.
