St. John's High School has wonderful alumni who keep coming back. Mr. Pritpal SIngh (affectionately known as Polly) is an alumnus who is an artist of a different ilk. He creates incredible sculptures out of waste metal, including realistic, life-size horses and bulls' heads.

Mr. Singh displayed his scrap metal sculptures in the school and interacted with the students, stimulating their tender, artistic minds. (SUBHEAD)

Polly is an Engineer who runs an Industrial unit. In his spare time, he makes robotic and superhero-like figurines, using hard-core techniques of engineering. His otherwise mundane work becomes eccentrically beautiful and exciting when he combines his vocation with his flair for art. He envisions creating passionate pieces of art out of Industrial and household waste and defunct automobile parts.

Students across senior classes got an opportunity to understand the process Polly has while he makes the best out of waste from the remnants of industrial waste. The interaction/display was spread across two days. Interestingly, he has named his creations Polybot……a play on his name and the 'robots' he creates!
