The Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College Sector 32- C Chandigarh organized Prarthana Sabha and Memorial Lecture to pay homage to its founder and former Home, Finance, and Education Minister of Punjab,Dr Pandit Mohan Lal ji on his twenty third death anniversary in its college premises yesterday..
In the memory of Karamjogi, a memorial lecture was delivered by Padma Shri Dr. Jagat Ram, Former Director, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research PGIMER, Chandigarh.
A blood donation camp was inaugurated by Shri Kumar Gaurav, IRS, GGDSD College Alumni and as many as 80 volunteers donated blood on the occasion.(SUBHEAD)
Silver Medalist in Commonwealth Games, Birmingham, 2022 and GGDSD College alumni fast -rising Indian boxer Sagar Ahlawat was also felicitated on the occasion.
Internationally acclaimed, Dr Jagat Ram while addressing the audience recalled the gallant contribution of Pandit Mohan Ji in various fields. Dr Jagat while dovetailing his experiences and anecdotes of an illustrious innings spanning 42 years, urged students to build in positive attitude and high thinking, remain a lifelong student and have a deep level of interest in the career of their choice. He further said that in order to excel you must teach and build team approach and harmony, remain focused and keep on moving towards the path of excellence with hard work and dedication.
A Book titled ‘The Man Beyond Words’ tracing the contours of Pandit Mohan Lal Ji's illustrious journey was also released on the occasion. The stage reverberated with bhajans sung by Shri Sunil Dhyani concluding the event.
